Getting Started

This guide gets a WordPress site from installed plugin to a usable content decay workflow.

Before you start

  • A WordPress administrator account.
  • Access to the Google Search Console property for the site.
  • A Google Cloud OAuth client for Search Console access.
  • Optional: an OpenAI API key for refresh briefs and draft assistance.

Fast path

  1. Upload and activate the plugin.
  2. Open Content Decay Fixer > Setup.
  3. Save scan rules: post types, comparison window, and minimum clicks.
  4. Use demo data to verify the dashboard and opportunities table.
  5. Connect Google Search Console.
  6. Run a live scan and open the highest-priority opportunity.

What success looks like

You should see a dashboard health score, KPI cards, scan history, and an opportunity queue with scores, workflow states, owners, notes, and CSV export.
